Partnering With Families to Shape the Future of CEREBRAL PALSY Research
Gillette Children’s
Affiliate Planning Grant Recipients:
Rhonda Cady & Tammy Jobes

Real progress starts by listening. Gillette Children’s “Partners in Progress” initiative is embedding patient and caregiver voices directly into the research process through the creation of a Cerebral Palsy Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC).

The team has already completed five virtual planning sessions, analyzed population data for inclusive representation, and explored augmentative and alternative communication accessibility in research spaces.

Our goal is to bring clinicians, researchers, and families together as equal partners to shape research that truly reflects the lived experience of people with cerebral palsy. It’s about ensuring the questions we ask and the outcomes we pursue are grounded in what matters most to those directly impacted.”
